Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Therapist to join our team at United Cerebral Palsy of The Inland Empire. The successful candidate will work with special needs youth in the after-school Skills Builder's program, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to develop their social, communication, and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support youth with special needs during integrated social recreation activities
  • Assist participants in achieving their individual goals and objectives
  • Document daily progress and provide regular feedback to participants and their families
  • Collaborate with the Site Supervisor to develop and implement program plans
  • Transport participants to community outings as needed
  • Provide first aid and emergency care as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and practices
