Job Description:
The Nursing Technician I plays a vital role in supporting Registered Nurses through observing and documenting patient conditions. This role assists with patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Support patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility to promote recovery and adherence to care plans.
  • Assess patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge patients to move them to appropriate locations in line with care plans.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, including monitoring blood glucose, recording vital signs, obtaining EKGs, applying restraints, and attending to elimination needs to provide comfortable care for patients.
  • Maintain unit inventories of supplies and medical equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Respond promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and share patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
