Position Overview: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Varied Procedures: Execute a broad spectrum of technical Nuclear Medicine procedures that require independent judgment and expertise.
  • Utilizing Your Initiative: Leverage your Nuclear Medicine knowledge to support precise diagnoses.
  • Taking on Independent Duties: Manage tasks assigned by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Follow departmental and hospital protocols for patient care, infection control, and confidentiality.
  • Operating Advanced Equipment: Utilize and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications, demonstrating proficiency in PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
  • Supervising and Educating: Potentially oversee or instruct other Nuclear Medicine staff as necessary.
  • Engaging in Continuous Learning: Participate in annual mandatory training on bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Licensing: Valid Massachusetts Radiology License.
  • Certifications: ARRT(N) or NMTCB Certification, along with BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Experience: Capability to operate independently in a high-pressure, demanding environment.
