Educational Contributions:

• Engages in continuous data collection related to perioperative care, procedural outcomes, and follow-up information to support research initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of patient care.

General Responsibilities:
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Adheres to all institutional policies and standards.
• For detailed responsibilities, refer to the documentation provided during orientation.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations regarding the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.

Annual Training:
• Participates in annual training sessions, including the University Hospitals Code of Conduct and relevant policies and procedures regarding the appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited RN program is required, along with completion of a state-approved RNFA program.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, proficient use of instruments and equipment utilized during surgical procedures.
Licenses and Certifications: Must hold Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification authorized by the Ohio Board of Nursing and possess CNOR certification.
