Job Summary

Evergreen Health is seeking a skilled Dentist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our dental care practice, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our team to ensure a patient-focused approach, and maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with patients to discuss and treat dental concerns, performing regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establishing a plan for better dental hygiene
  • Perform oral exams, dental surgeries, operative procedures, fabricate oral prosthetic devices, and all other necessary dental procedures required to provide patients with quality dental care
  • Conduct a thorough medical record review of all patients referred to the dental practice
  • Conduct diagnostic testing, including X-Rays, to diagnose oral health conditions
  • Design and fit dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures
  • Correcting bite issues and overcrowding
  • Prescribe medication as needed
  • Educate patients on preventive dental care, including proper oral hygiene and importance of regularly scheduled oral health exams
  • Recommend patients to dental specialists as needed for recommended procedures
  • Maintains medical records relating to the oral health of the patient and the treatments provided to them
  • Maintains knowledge of local, state and federal rules and regulations relative to the operations of the practice
  • Provides oversight of infection control policies and procedures
  • Promotes a team based, patient centered model of care through leadership and practice
  • Collaborate and support team members to ensure a patient-focused approach to care

Qualified candidates will have a Doctorate of Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine, be licensed to practice dentistry in the state of New York, have current BLS and CPR certifications, and have continuing education courses for new procedures and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
