We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality home health care services to our patients.
Job Summary:The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assess patients' conditions and provide home health visits. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting patient care services and progress/decline in electronic systems, performing therapeutic procedures through ADL/IADL performance, and reporting patient progress to patients/caregivers/physicians/agency offices as needed.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' conditions and develop plans of care in collaboration with supervising Occupational Therapists
- Provide home health visits and perform therapeutic procedures through ADL/IADL performance
- Document patient care services and progress/decline in electronic systems
- Report patient progress to patients/caregivers/physicians/agency offices as needed
- Must be 18 years or older and have successfully completed at least a FL-approved COTA associate's degree program from an industry-accredited institution
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- Must successfully complete a Level II background check prior to offer and initiation of training
- Must complete a competency check and all orientation prior to initiating patient care
- Current FL State COTA license is required; Current NBCOT certification is required
The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work in a home health care setting, providing services to patients in their homes. The successful candidate will be required to travel to various locations throughout the service area.
