Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Prisma Health. As an Occupational Therapist I, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and regain independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Initial Evaluations and Treatment Planning
- Conduct thorough initial evaluations to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans to address patient goals and objectives
- Treatment Implementation and Progress Monitoring
- Implement and manage treatment plans, ensuring timely and effective progress
- Monitor patient progress, revising treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
- Patient Education and Family Support
- Provide education and training to patients and families on diagnoses, progress, and long-term functional outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including assessment, planning, treatment, and discharge
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an NBCOT-approved program
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of South Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Environment
