Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Support Care Specialist to join our team at First Step Healthcare LLC. As a Support Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to live healthy and meaningful lives.

About the Role:

  • Administer bedside or personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands.
  • Care for individuals or families during periods of incapacitation, family disruption, or convalescence, providing companionship, personal care, or help in adjusting to new lifestyles.
  • Plan, shop for, or prepare nutritious meals or assist families in planning, shopping for, or preparing nutritious meals.
  • Transport clients to locations outside the home, such as to physicians' offices or on outings, using a motor vehicle.

Requirements:

  • Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move/reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person and/or adaptive equipment.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
  • Maintain current background check.
  • Continued Education: completion of state-mandated 8-hour annual training and re-certification.
