About the Role

At Leidos, we're seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our operations organization, you'll play a critical role in managing our enterprise computer systems and networks.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze technical issues, developing and implementing corrective actions to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Monitor and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components.
  • Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, applying diagnoses to develop technical solutions that meet user needs.
  • Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact.
  • Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Linux experience is a firm requirement.
  • Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
  • Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure.
  • Experience setting up storage such as network-attached storage.
  • Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience deploying and maintaining nginx.
  • Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT, and Ansible, as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience with SELinux and FIPS.
