Job Title: Industrial Piping Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Piping Engineer to join our team at IMI Industrial Services Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing piping projects to ensure consistency with company policy and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe operation of all projects by following and enforcing all company and customer safety policies and regulations.
  • Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of piping projects, clearly articulating project scope, goals, specifications, and deliverables.
  • Develop full-scale project plans with timelines and review and approve design drawings prior to customer submittal.
  • Provide direction and support to project teams and constantly monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders, including problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs and close assigned projects with a managed review with project managers and customers that validates quality of work and adherence to project specification requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5 years' experience in the industrial process piping industry.
  • Ability to create and modify design drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to develop handwritten ISO sketches of a particular piping system and communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Computer experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Blue Beam, MS Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and understand piping specifications and PID drawings and CWI certificate preferred but not required.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time and use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
