Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our team at Northern Biomedical Research Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our research operations, including:

  • Handling and restraining animal species
  • Monitoring animal health and collecting and recording data
  • Ensuring Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance
  • Collecting samples and administering drugs
  • Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with animal husbandry tasks

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory setting. ALAT certification is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new applications is essential.

The Research Technician will work predominantly in a laboratory setting, exposed to animal pathogens, chemicals, and zoonotic organisms. The role demands decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and coachability. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective gear and will be expected to lift up to 50 lbs.

The Research Technician will be an integral part of our operations team, supporting the completion of studies safely, efficiently, and accurately. The role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a workweek. The successful candidate will have no supervisory responsibilities.
