As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing financial transactions, and resolving member inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Transaction Processing: Accurately process financial transactions, including receiving funds, posting transactions, and paying out funds as requested.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional, and confidential assistance to members and company associates, ensuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time.
- Research and Resolution: Research, troubleshoot, and resolve member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products.
- Transaction Support: Issue Traveler's Checks and money orders, receive currency for coin, verify amounts, process the redemption of bonds, and cash checks according to written procedures.
- Loan and Savings Support: Receive loan payments and savings deposits from members, address inquiries on accounts, record amounts and dates of payments, and validate checks and/or count cash payments.
- Interdepartmental Support: Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling member requests and merchant verifications.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Must be able to operate a computer keyboard by touch, be proficient with MS Word, and possess basic math skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand in place for long periods of time, lift coin boxes and bags that could weigh up to 50 lbs, and climb/descend stairs in emergency situations.
