Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL Driver to join our team at Waste Management. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a pup trailer to perform assigned duties on designated routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using standard eDVIR.
  • Immediately report any unsafe situations or unscheduled service calls to Route Manager and Dispatch.
  • Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Route Manager.
  • Work closely with Route Managers and Dispatch to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
  • Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager and Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
  • Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Notify Route Manager and Dispatch of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A upon hire required.
  • At least 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle. You will be exposed to a physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.
