Job Description: GBS Group has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer with expertise in cybersecurity to work on complex projects related to Naval ship platforms.

About the Role: As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing coded models of electrical, electronic, and mechanical control systems using agile techniques. You will also assist in creating cyber-based solutions and contribute real value by developing, troubleshooting, and testing software/hardware security of Naval platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or modify control system cybersecurity software, including modeling and simulations tools, vulnerability assessment tools, threat analysis tools, risk assessment tools, situational awareness tools, and forensics tools.
  • Develop and/or modify computer code in languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, Visual Basic, MATLAB, and Labview.
  • Support a range of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), including Visual Studio and Eclipse.
  • Develop databases using products like Microsoft Access, SQL, CSV, RDF, OWL, and AllegroGraph.
  • Design software to meet cybersecurity and information assurance requirements, and improve the security features of existing applications.
  • Configure management of control system software and documentation.
  • Report status, impact assessments, and metrics, and track issues to closure.
  • Develop technical documentation for control systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
  • Three years of professional experience developing software using high-level languages.
  • One year of experience designing and/or analyzing software architectures.
  • One year of experience with Cameo System Modeler, Linux Operating Systems, web or distributed architecture applications, Semantic Graph Database technologies, Relational Database technologies, or Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
