Key Responsibilities:

- Uphold the standards outlined in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures, including complex cases, using cutting-edge computerized imaging technology.
- Exhibit proficiency in initiating and maintaining intravenous (IV) access, along with operating high-speed, pressurized injection devices.
- Assess patients for clinical contrast history and identify any potential contraindications.
- Comply with established protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Engage effectively with patients and healthcare providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to ensure exceptional patient care and continuity.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to rotate across departments and clinics as necessary.
- Assist Radiologists in performing invasive and biopsy procedures utilizing CT technology to accurately locate anatomical structures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring they are well-stocked prior to procedures, while adhering to Infection Control standards.
- Accurately code and enter all charges associated with procedures.
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet the diverse physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs of each patient.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and refrain from disclosing any sensitive information unless required for job functions.
- Embody the core values of CHRISTUS Health Care in all actions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Skills:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent recognized institution is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in CT within a hospital or clinical environment is required.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required.
  • ARRT certification in CT is mandatory.
  • Current state licensure is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
