Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Specialist to perform a range of routine and advanced imaging tasks while providing assistance to fellow imaging professionals as needed. Strong interpersonal and communication skills that reflect the values and mission of Christus Health are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill the expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Execute various diagnostic imaging procedures, including complex cases, utilizing cutting-edge computerized imaging technology.
  • Exhibit expertise in initiating and maintaining IV access and operating high-speed injection devices.
  • Assess patients for contrast history and identify potential contraindications.
  • Comply with established protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Engage effectively with patients and healthcare providers, prioritize imaging tasks, and ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Be flexible to rotate among departments and clinics to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Support Radiologists during invasive procedures utilizing CT technology.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of examination rooms, adhering to Infection Control protocols.
  • Accurately code charges and keep detailed records.
  • Tailor care approaches to accommodate each patient's specific needs.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality and uphold the core values of Christus Health.
  • Perform all assigned responsibilities with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications:

Education/Skills:
Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical environment is required; 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
ARRT Certification is required.
ARRT CT Certification is required.
Current state licensure is required.
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) is required.
