Job Summary:The Pediatric Nurse Specialist will function as a liaison between management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, community organizations, and other customers. This role will coordinate efforts for treatment, promote quality improvement, and educational efforts. The successful candidate will also provide referrals/support for follow-up care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate efforts for treatment and promote quality improvement and educational efforts.
- Compile data, track outcomes, and make recommendations for process improvement.
- Provide referrals/support for follow-up care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
- Function as a liaison for management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, community organizations, and other customers.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Strong computer skills
- Bilingual preferred
