Construction Management Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Construction Management Instructor to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension.
As a Construction Management Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in a variety of modalities, including 100% online, live-online (zoom), and in-person in Westwood or downtown Los Angeles.
We are looking for professionals who can convey their industry experience and knowledge to our students using actual work examples and applications of topics covered in the courses. Industry experience is a must.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, subject matter expertise, and a commitment to course-related development and maintenance.
The successful candidate will have a MS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on industry experience, or a BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 10 years of hands-on industry experience.
The candidate will also be up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and innovations in the industry, and will hold key positions within their industries.
The Construction Management Instructor will be responsible for developing and/or updating existing course syllabus in consultation with the UCLA Extension Program Director, preparing course materials and learning assessments in Canvas, communicating and teaching the course objectives and specific learning outcomes to students, and reviewing students' progress through the course and assigning timely grading.
The successful candidate will also be highly effective in oral and written communication, including the ability to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information, and will have highly effective interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications:
- Passion in teaching, subject matter expertise, and committed to course-related development and maintenance.
- MS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on industry experience, or BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 10 years of hands-on industry experience.
- Professionals who are up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and innovations in the industry.
- Professionals who hold key positions within their industries.
- Must be committed to the highest level of academic standards and integrity.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the College-level or higher.
- Experience designing curriculum on Canvas (or similar) and measuring student performance.
