Electronics Systems Engineer for Space Test Equipment

Maxar Technologies is a leading provider of space technology solutions. The company is seeking an experienced Electronics Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test equipment (ATE) used in the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design custom electronics for simulation and measurement tasks
  • Create and maintain automated tests using test scripts
  • Collaborate with design engineers to establish test requirements
  • Develop and release test equipment and software documentation
  • Perform troubleshooting of test equipment in production
  • Contribute to the development of flight hardware alongside the design team
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in test and automation
  • Experience with high-power design and custom PCB/PCA development
  • Familiarity with a range of electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power supplies, signal generators, and switching devices
  • Proficiency in automating testing through scripting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming skills in Python and C
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Background in testing for space applications
  • Knowledge of designing for testing in vacuum environments
  • Optional: experience with 3D modeling and 3D printing

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $94,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
