Job Summary:The Transport Driver will be responsible for loading, securing, driving, and unloading heavy equipment tractor-trailer rigs to deliver and pick up rental equipment and components at customer locations, company facilities, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:- Maintain a valid California Class A driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with DMV rules and regulations.
- Participate in the U.S. Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing program.
- Perform daily safety and operational vehicle inspections.
- Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical repairs of assigned trucks as needed.
- Load and unload equipment using material handling equipment and operate various equipment to move it on and off the trailer.
- Use road maps for efficient transportation and maintain accurate logbook records.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet company and customer needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience or training.
- Valid California Class A driver's license and DMV Medical Certificate.
- Forklift operator certification.
The Transport Driver will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and potentially hazardous materials.
