Job Overview

Scribe-X offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain clinical experience and preparation for a career in medicine. As a Medical Scribe, you will work alongside healthcare providers to document patient encounters in real-time, developing essential skills and knowledge in EMR systems and patient documentation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany healthcare providers in all scheduled patient visits to document patient history, physical exam, procedures, and patient plan.
  • Enter laboratory and radiographic studies, medication orders, and instructions for patients.
  • Review completed charts with providers between patients or at the completion of shift.
  • Update provider preference and clinic preference documents as necessary.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate new software quickly.
  • Healthcare track (e.g. pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred with a GPA of 3.00 or greater.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 WPM required for most assignments.
  • Full-time availability required, Monday-Friday.
