Mobile Anesthesiologists is growing and currently has immediate openings for Full-Time Perianesthesia Registered Nurses. In this role, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive care of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; no evening shifts, Sundays, overtime, or holiday work required. Opportunities for Saturday shifts are available and come with incentives.
Work Environment: Outpatient anesthesia services conducted in surgical office settings or Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
Location: Our operations are primarily in the Chicago area and its suburbs. During your onboarding, you will collaborate closely with our Scheduling Coordinator, who will facilitate your travel to various client sites for diverse experiences in specialties. Post-onboarding, RNs are typically assigned to locations within a 45-minute commute from their residences, with mileage reimbursement available for distances exceeding 25 miles.
Role Responsibilities: As a Perianesthesia RN, you will deliver high-quality nursing care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, adhering to established practice policies and procedures. You will also engage in ongoing educational programs, including mandatory nursing and medical staff training, to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted RN license in Illinois or a compact license allowing practice in Illinois.
- A minimum of three years of experience in critical care, emergency, or post-anesthesia care nursing is essential. Candidates with two years of experience in emergency or intensive care settings, along with relevant experience in ER, PACU, or telemetry, are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in providing care to both pediatric and adult patients.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic physical assessments and initiate intravenous catheter placements is necessary.
