Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse PreOp PACU will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the preoperative and postoperative phases of surgical procedures. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic stability.
  • Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia plans of care, including pain and comfort management, wound care, and fluid management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients and families on perioperative care, pain management, and postoperative recovery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • One year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing.
  • Current state licensure to practice nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
