Union Settlement is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual School Social Worker/Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a pioneer of the settlement house movement, we continue to meet the needs of the ever-changing East Harlem community through our core programs.

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with school staff to provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to clients at an elementary school site. They will also conduct comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention for clients on their caseload.

We are looking for a candidate who is bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent computer skills, organizational ability, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with diverse populations and a passion for providing high-quality mental health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to clients at an elementary school site
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment planning for clients on caseload
  • Provide crisis intervention for clients on caseload
  • Provide psycho-education to clients and parents
  • Conduct outreach to clients to ensure their attendance at appointments
  • Complete all appropriate documentation for each client on caseload
  • Coordinate and maintain collaborative relationships with neighborhood agencies
  • Actively participate in supervision, clinical case conferences, and educational seminars

Qualifications:

  • LMSW or LCSW, LCAT
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent organizational ability and interpersonal skills
