We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As an E3 Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting surface ship topside design and ensuring the operational capability of equipment, systems, and platforms within their electromagnetic environments.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze ship antenna and topside design configurations to prevent electromagnetics from interfering with equipment and system functionality.
- Implement design practices that facilitate compliance with E3 requirements at all system levels.
- Plan and conduct requirements verification and testing, and troubleshoot failures and equipment outages.
- Develop, modify, sustain, and enforce related policy, and oversee operations and maintenance of lab equipment and tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience working in and with E3 Technical standards.
- Experience performing electronic analyses for related systems operating in terrestrial, airborne, maritime, and space environments.
- Evaluate system designs against technical standards and system drawings, and provide EMI guidance to internal/external customers and vendors.
- U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Security Clearance are required.
- B.S. or Advanced Degree in engineering, analysis, or related discipline desired but not required and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer Certification.
- Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II) Certification.
