Position: Assistant Director of Finance

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist the Controller in overseeing the internal control systems related to income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
  • Lead the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, while ensuring adherence to departmental policies.
  • Supervise and mentor subordinate staff, facilitating their professional development and conducting performance reviews.
  • Manage treasury functions to maintain optimal working capital and cash flow in alignment with executive guidelines.
  • Coordinate the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and proper filing of all necessary documentation.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identifying variances and recommending improvements.
  • Research and propose new policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and service quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Accounting is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of accounting experience is required, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in hotel accounting is highly desirable.
