Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, following physician's orders, and adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Quality Nursing Care: Ensure that patients receive high-quality nursing care, following physician's orders and facility policies and procedures.
  • Administer Medications: Administer medications as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies.
  • Lead and Guide Nursing Assistants: Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist Physicians: Assist physicians with rounds as needed, and provide support during physical examinations and treatments.
  • Perform Treatments: Perform scheduled treatments and document patient care appropriately.
  • Maintain Infection Control: Adhere to all regulations pertaining to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
  • Assist with Research: Assist with research related to the quality of nursing care, as assigned.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions, and ensure that patient physicals and documentation are completed on a timely basis.

Requirements:

  • Education: Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
  • Skills: Provide quality-nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, genuine interest in geriatric nursing, CPR certified yearly, and ability to supervise nursing assistants.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependable, flexible, and able to work and cooperate well with all nursing personnel, other departments, and have understanding, patience, and tact in working with patients, families, doctors, and others.
