Position Overview
Are you passionate about contributing to environmental sustainability? We are seeking a knowledgeable Environmental Engineer to enhance our compliance initiatives and operational excellence. This role involves collaboration with a corporate team that spans numerous facilities across multiple states, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Water Stewardship Leadership: Spearhead initiatives focused on water management, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain comprehensive water inventory and monitor wastewater permits.
- Regulatory Compliance Management: Develop and uphold environmental compliance documentation, ensuring all necessary permits are current and adhered to.
- Chemical Inventory Oversight: Oversee chemical management programs, including SARA reporting and compliance with inventory regulations.
- Sustainability Reporting: Compile and maintain data for sustainability initiatives, including Ecovadis and CDP Water Security assessments.
- Training Development: Create and deliver training programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainability awareness.
- Internal Auditing: Facilitate internal audits of environmental practices and compliance across divisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion ongoing enhancements in environmental systems aligned with strategic objectives.
- Project Management: Lead environmental projects, ensuring accountability and effective communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Environmental Regulations: Familiarity with the implementation of environmental laws and standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to convey consistent messages across all organizational levels.
- Data Management: Proficient in data interpretation and reporting with a keen attention to detail.
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and achieve common goals.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Engaging in collaborative problem-solving and understanding diverse perspectives.
