Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Cook to join our team at Kettle Cuisine. As a Seasonal Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Start and prepare kettles, observing operation to detect malfunctions and ensuring proper function.
  • Execute cooking procedures as outlined in recipes, adhering to production schedules and maintaining quality control.
  • Perform operations of machines, including troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, quality control, and waste control.
  • Conduct quality and food safety checks, including cooking temperatures, viscosity, taste checks, and allergen program maintenance.
  • Follow department escalation procedures to address major incidents promptly.
  • Ensure accurate data collection, including cook times, quality test results, and temperatures.
  • Operate support equipment, such as Lycos, Dishwasher, CIP skid, and others as needed.
  • Organize and maintain equipment in a clean, sanitary, and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet cooking metrics and drive goals, sustainability, and resource alignment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Ability to learn system logic and operate HMI/control panels to teach products and fine-tune equipment.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and internal/external customers.
Technical Experience
  • Self-starter with ability to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward.
  • Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team.
  • Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Obsessive attention to detail, well organized, and able to juggle multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments.
  • Passionate about food.
  • Willing to address difficult situations head-on with patience and respect.
Compensation and Benefits

$22.00-$28.00/hour (DOE). Kettle Cuisine offers medical, 401(k), and other benefits at low cost or no cost.
