Job Opportunity: EC Occupational Course of Study Teacher

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Teacher to fill an EC Occupational Course of Study (OCS) position. This is a full-time, contracted role for the entire school year, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students with exceptional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with exceptionalities.
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the OCS curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to ensure academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with parents, school staff, and external agencies to support student success and well-being.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and confidence.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching students with exceptionalities, particularly in an OCS setting.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and professionals.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
  • Full-time position for the entire school year.
  • Contracted through Soliant Education.
