As a key member of the healthcare team, the Certified Nurse Anesthetist PRN will be responsible for administering anesthesia and closely monitoring patients during surgical procedures and other medical interventions.
This role requires a high level of expertise in critical care and airway management, with the ability to function effectively in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including ambulatory surgery centers.
EDUCATION
A Registered Professional Nurse with advanced education and training in nurse anesthesia is required. The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and be a participating Medicare provider or eligible to obtain a Medicare provider number.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Texas and registration by the State to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner are mandatory. Additionally, the candidate must maintain current AHA ACLS or higher certification in accordance with Medical-Dental staff bylaws. Certification by a national nursing body is highly recommended.
