About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Park Maintenance team as a Landscape Parks Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the City's beautiful public spaces, including planting, mulching, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, and overall care for the planting beds, pots, and planters throughout the City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the City's parks and green spaces, including mowing, fertilizing, weeding, spraying, and overall attention to the parks' grasses, meadows, surfaces, and water amenities.
  • Operate various landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools as needed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and snow.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
