Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at OhioHealth. As a key member of our Core Lab department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to resolve technical issues and improve laboratory processes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and laboratory procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- NAACLS certification or equivalent.
- At least two years of laboratory experience.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working night shifts, with a scheduled 40 hours per week. The Core Lab department is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and strong communication skills.
