Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Pacific Coast Speech Services. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating language and speech disorders in children from birth to 22 years old.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will work closely with interdisciplinary team members, including classroom teachers and families, to develop and implement treatment plans that address students' functional goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete assessments and evaluations to identify students' level of functioning and ability to communicate.
  • Develop treatment plans in coordination with the classroom teacher and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Instruct and consult with interdisciplinary team members, as well as the family/guardians, to generalize skills taught in the school setting.
  • Collect data on student progress; document student activities; prepare reports and/or service logs using data management systems.
Requirements:
  • California Speech Pathologist license (SLP) or eligible for a CA preliminary RPE license; and/or California Speech-Language Services Credential or eligible for a CA preliminary credential.
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred; willing to mentor.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required.
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of special education computer programs preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving ability and proven accuracy with detailed information.
  • Proficient written and verbal English language communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manner.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
