Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Psychiatric Emergency Department team at Lexington Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and promote a supportive and restorative environment for patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to promote and restore patient health status, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide physical and psychological support to patients, family members, and significant others, promoting a compassionate and empathetic environment.
  • Supervise assigned team members, ensuring effective teamwork and communication among healthcare teams.
  • Participate in process/performance improvement activities, utilizing evidence-based practice to maintain and improve quality of care and safe patient care systems and processes.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Requirements
  • Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.
  • Minimum Education: ADN, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: None.
  • Required Certifications/Licensure: Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.
