Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the level of communication impairment and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement effective therapy programs aimed at restoring optimal communication abilities in patients.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatment strategies and adjust goals as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations and treatments in accordance with departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and training to caregivers and other healthcare professionals regarding speech therapy techniques and patient care.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of rehabilitation programs.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
- A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is required.
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is mandatory.
- A valid State of Michigan Driver's License is required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with day shifts, requiring flexibility to work on weekdays and every fourth weekend.
