Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Master CNC Programmer and Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at StandardAero. In this role, you will design and implement programs for CNC machines, ensuring high standards in aviation repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, write, revise, document, test, implement, and control programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.
  • Prepare machine/process setup and operating instructions.
  • Design and/or manufacture jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions, or drawings.
  • Provide support, training, and problem resolution to operations personnel who use computer numerically controlled machines.
  • Liaise with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection, and induction of new repairs.
  • Monitor performance, conduct feasibility studies, and implement process improvements for computer numerically controlled machines.
  • Prepare technical specifications and cost-benefit analysis for procurement of capital equipment. Liaise with management in the procurement process.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Requirements:
  • A thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering manufacturing process, tool design, and fabrication methods and processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
  • A thorough knowledge of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. Master-CAM is a plus.
  • The ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas controls and the ability to program at the machine, as needed.
  • Prior experience as a machinist or toolmaker is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • A College diploma in manufacturing technology or a related discipline; or equivalent is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident per ITAR regulations.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

This salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and bonus opportunities.
