Highly Skilled CNC Machinist

As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing programs for CNC machines. Your role involves designing jigs and fixtures, providing training to operations personnel, and collaborating with engineering for component repairs.
You will utilize CAD/CAM systems and monitor CNC performance, contributing to process improvements and safety in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities:
- Plans, develops, writes, revises, documents, tests, implements and controls programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.
- Prepares machine/process setup and operating instructions.
- Designs and/or manufactures jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions or drawings.
- Liaises with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection and induction of new repairs.
- Monitors performance, conducts feasibility studies and implements process improvements for computer numerically controlled machines.
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering manufacturing process, tool design, and fabrication methods and processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. Master-CAM a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas controls and the ability to program at the machine, as needed.
- Prior experience as a machinist or toolmaker is preferred.
The salary range for this position is between $60,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
