Sleep Disorder Specialist

The Polysomnographic Technician conducts nocturnal and diurnal sleep testing in the Sleep Center to include monitoring of various physiological signals. The position also assists in scoring sleep stages, apneas, movements, and interpreting Polysomnographic recordings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sleep disorders and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct sleep testing and monitoring of various physiological signals
- Assist in scoring sleep stages, apneas, movements, and interpreting Polysomnographic recordings
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
- Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapy Technician, or Sleep Technologist
- CPR-BLS Certification
- Preferred qualifications: Post-Associates degree clinical acute care experience and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS)
