MPCI Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled MPCI Underwriter to join our team at Chubb. As an MPCI Underwriter, you will play a critical role in examining insurance documents, applying underwriting rules, and communicating with agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders.

• Examine insurance documents, including applications, production reports, and acreage reports, and apply underwriting rules to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Enter information into the computer system, including policy information, production data, and acreage report data, and update records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders via phone and email to obtain information, answer questions, and resolve issues.
• Review and analyze scanned document images and route them to the appropriate work queues.
• Prepare and print various reports and policy forms, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist with training and development of Underwriting Assistants and part-time personnel, as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 6 months of experience as an Underwriter Assistant at Rain and Hail or at least one year of previous crop underwriting experience or a baccalaureate degree.
• Knowledge of MPCI program and underwriting rules and procedures.
• Ability to learn and understand printed policy information, including manuals, handbooks, and actuarial documents.
• Basic keyboarding skills and ability to rapidly and accurately enter information into the computer system.
• Ability to comprehend agents' questions and concerns over the phone and provide correct, courteous answers.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
