About the Leadership Development Program

A. Duie Pyle's Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a comprehensive training initiative designed to equip and develop future leaders within the organization.

Program Overview

The LDP is a 24-week program that combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training, providing participants with a deep understanding of the transportation industry and the inner workings of A. Duie Pyle's operations.

Key Components
  • Classroom Instruction: Participants will engage in formal training sessions, led by senior leadership, to develop industry knowledge and professional relationships.
  • On-the-Job Training: Hands-on experience working various shifts on the dock and riding along in company trucks will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of freight handling and LTL operations.
  • Project Assignments: Participants will work on real-world projects, applying their knowledge and skills to drive business results.
  • Leadership Development: Participants will shadow Pyle leaders, developing leadership skills through on-the-job experiences and formal training.
Requirements

To be eligible for the LDP, candidates must possess:

  • Prior work experience in a supply chain, logistics, transportation, or similar field.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (any major) or a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • A willingness to relocate within the Pyle network upon program completion.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
