Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, taking into account their medical history, cultural background, and personal preferences.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical exams, laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging, to identify potential complications and develop strategies for prevention and management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of care plans, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the quality and safety of patient care, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or a compact state.
  • 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN, with a strong background in maternal-child health and obstetrics.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
