Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, utilizing therapeutic communication and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Identify nursing problems and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities, including staff assignments, patient care coordination, and communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
  • Labor and Delivery experience is highly preferred.
  • Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months.
  • NRP certification within six months.
  • AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certifications within one year.
  • CPI Training & Certification within six months.
