Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Addiction Medicine Therapist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our Chemical Dependency department, you will provide comprehensive chemical dependency services and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide chemical dependency services and psychotherapy to patients, including individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address chemical dependency and related issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in clinical case conferences and provide education to patients and families.
  • Develop and implement chemical dependency focused educational programs.
  • Provide case management services, including resource and referral coordination.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in addiction medicine therapy, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) or equivalent licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with adolescents and families.
Work Environment:

This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week. The schedule includes evenings and Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
