Clinical Psychologist

As a Clinical Psychologist - Addiction Medicine Specialist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and psychotherapy methods. Your expertise in psychological testing, diagnosis, and crisis intervention will be essential in delivering high-quality care to our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
- Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration and interpretation
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries
- Collaborate with treating physicians and allied health professionals to plan and direct member treatment programs
Requirements
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university
- Current valid license to practice psychology in the State of California or a valid license to practice in a state in the United States
- Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
- Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health
- Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy
- Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families
- Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
