Ultrasound Technologist Job Summary
HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our Imaging Team. As a key member of our team, you will perform routine diagnostic sonographic procedures in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and radiologists regarding any findings, patient histories, and test results as appropriate.
Requirements:
- General Ultrasound experience preferred; Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited program for radiographers or ultra-sonographers; Vocational School Graduate.
- RDMS OB/GYN Specialty, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), or RDMS Abdomen Specialty must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
