**Job Summary**

Essendant is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team. As a Janitorial Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors to ensure a safe and clean environment
  • Remove and dispose of trash from all areas, including recycling and compactor duties
  • Clean common areas, including tables, chairs, countertops, drinking fountains, doors, windows, refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, and eye wash stations
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery in a safe and controlled manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

**Requirements:**

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Janitorial/custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to perform all required tasks in a safe and controlled manner
  • Ability to understand and follow simple directions in English
