Your responsibilities will include steering the strategic operations and planning of Information Technology Services (ITS), setting clear objectives, formulating policies, and supervising team members with a high degree of autonomy and independent decision-making.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Directs departmental activities and business functions by establishing performance metrics and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Manages the development of the departmental budget, collaborates with financial teams for budget reviews, and provides insightful analyses to ITS leadership.
- Creates and applies methodologies for assessing program activities and identifying necessary adjustments in line with business strategies.
- Sets objectives aligned with the agency's strategic framework, guiding the formulation of the agency's strategic plan.
- Formulates policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance and enhancing departmental efficiency.
- Plans, develops, and endorses schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving strategic goals, directing evaluation efforts within designated operational areas.
- Acts as the agency's representative in various business forums and serves as a liaison for ITS-related initiatives.
- Reviews and endorses management, productivity, and financial reports, providing strategic direction based on thorough investigations.
- May design and oversee the execution of both long-term and short-term plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Establishes and implements IT Governance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance mandates.
- Supervises staff by managing daily operations, offering guidance, and fostering opportunities for professional growth.
- Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in operational aspects of software development, system administration, project management, and quality assurance.
- Understanding of public administration and management principles.
- Competence in project planning, root cause analysis, and delivering impactful training sessions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to analyze technical data for effective goal setting.
- Capability to identify issues, manage program activities, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and work independently in a dynamic environment.
