Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Editor with a strong background in editing and a minimum of 5 years of experience. A preferred candidate would have experience supporting the Department of Defense or other federal entity.

This is a full-time position located in Washington, DC, offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing written documents to ensure they are well-written, quality, error-free, and meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit OUSDI documents, including memorandums, policies, issuances, and guidance;
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and action officers to draft and confirm accuracy and content of written documents prior to publication;
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to authors, content creators, and action officers to improve publications and future documents;
  • Correct punctuation and grammar mistakes.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in English, Communications, or a related field.

Clearance Requirements:

An Active TS with sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility is required.
