Position Title: Installation Service Technician

Location: Central Virginia

Contract Duration: 6 months or more

Note: No C2C arrangements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel within the Richmond area for installation tasks.
  • Possession of a valid State Driver's License.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ownership of essential tools, including basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, multimeter, and a drill) and a small ladder.
  • Flexibility to work a Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and pre-installation requirements.
  • Transport necessary tools, equipment, and supplies to designated locations within client premises.
  • Perform drilling and cutting for installation of sensors, controls, and other devices as instructed.
  • Prepare wiring setups at each sensor, control, and device location.
  • Run wires through attics or crawl spaces to the main control unit and other connection points.
  • Install conduits, flexible conduits, and electrical boxes as required.
  • Connect all equipment and ensure proper organization of wiring.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the installation area, ensuring no debris is left behind.
  • Assist in system programming, conduct thorough testing of alarm systems, and provide customer training on system functionalities.
  • Follow schematic wiring diagrams and installation procedures, testing the system's operation to ensure proper service establishment.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and maintain necessary documentation for emergency notifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb and work on ladders for prolonged durations.
  • Experience in operating power tools and hand tools.
  • Frequent lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces, including crawling and kneeling.
